Andreessen Horowitz has led a Series A round of approximately $870 million for TypeSafe AI. The deal, announced October 9, 2026, values the San Francisco startup at $7.5 billion. For context, the company only came out of stealth on September 15, 2026. Most startups spend their first month fixing the website. TypeSafe AI spent it multiplying its valuation. From seed to unicorn-plus in under a month The timeline is tight. At its stealth exit, TypeSafe AI announced a $40 million seed round led by DCVC, at a post-money valuation of about $200 million. Fewer than four weeks later, a16z stepped in with a Series A priced at $7.5 billion. That is a leap from a nine-figure valuation to a ten-figure one inside a single calendar month. The catalyst was the company’s first model, called Jev. A launch video for the product went viral, and Jev reportedly passed one million users within days. Adoption has since moved well beyond curious developers. Jev is now used by around one-third of Fortune 500 companies, according to the research findings on the round.
