AI platforms face talent exodus as builders depart major companies in 2025-2026 wave

The companies racing to build artificial general intelligence have a problem that no amount of compute can fix: the people who actually built the technology keep walking out the door. xAI, the Elon Musk-founded AI venture, lost six of its original 12 co-founders by late February 2026.
