Ampersand raises $15M to connect AI agents with legacy enterprise software

Enterprise AI has a plumbing problem, and Ampersand just raised $15 million to work on the pipes. The San Francisco-based developer platform closed a Series A round on October 6, 2026, with Bessemer Venture Partners in the lead. The pitch is simple to say and hard to build: let AI applications actually work inside the creaky business software companies already run on. The round and who wrote the checks Bessemer headed the financing. Returning backers Matrix and Flex Capital also participated. The round brought in some new names too. Yelp and Mana Ventures joined as fresh investors. With the new capital, Ampersand’s total funding now sits at approximately $19.7 to $20.7 million. The company was founded in 2022. Its previous round was a $4.7 million seed led by Matrix in April 2023. The Series A is more than three times that size. What Ampersand actually does Ampersand builds infrastructure that lets so-called agentic applications perform read and write operations inside systems of record such as Salesforce and NetSuite.
