Apple reclaims title of world’s largest company after stock surge

Apple and Nvidia are playing the most expensive game of leapfrog in financial history. On July 17, Apple briefly reclaimed the crown as the world’s most valuable public company, touching a market cap of roughly $4.88 trillion during intraday trading and edging past Nvidia’s approximately $4.82 trillion. Nvidia closed the day slightly ahead. But the fact that Apple got there at all tells a story worth paying attention to, especially if you hold any assets that correlate with tech sentiment.
