Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance and one of the most influential figures in digital assets, posted on X on September 2 that speculative capital is migrating back into crypto after a prolonged flirtation with the artificial intelligence sector. His term for it: “hot money.” Earlier in 2026, AI-related investments siphoned significant speculative interest away from crypto, applying downward pressure on token prices.
