BitGo opens Singapore office as APAC client base triples

BitGo Singapore has expanded its client base in the first half of 2026, marking a push into the Asia-Pacific region at a time when institutional appetite for regulated crypto custody is surging. In June 2026, BitGo appointed Angela Ang, a former official at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), as Managing Director of APAC and President of BitGo Singapore. What BitGo is building in Singapore BitGo Singapore operates under a Major Payment Institution license from MAS. That license allows the subsidiary to offer regulated Digital Payment Token services. The company’s service stack in the region includes cold storage for over 1,300 digital assets, around-the-clock trading and settlement, and token management services. A partnership announced in June 2026 with dtcpay pairs BitGo’s custody and trading capabilities with dtcpay’s payments infrastructure, creating an end-to-end pipeline from digital asset storage to merchant settlement. Globally, BitGo reported 104% year-over-year client growth, reaching 5,322 clients by the end of 2025.
