The biggest players in finance are buying Bitcoin. They’re just not buying very much of it. Bitwise Asset Management’s inaugural “Institutional Crypto Adoption” report, based on in-depth interviews with senior professionals at 15 large institutions, found that most crypto allocations cluster between 1% and 2% of total investable assets. The full range spans from 0.5% to 13%, but the majority of institutions are keeping their exposure modest, treating crypto less like a growth bet and more like a carefully measured hedge.
