BNP Paribas and Google Cloud announce five-year partnership for AI and cloud innovation

BNP Paribas has been methodically building out a diversified cloud infrastructure that balances external providers with its own on-premises systems. In April 2025, BNP Paribas renewed its collaboration with IBM Cloud for an additional 10 years, a deal that includes the development of new dedicated data center spaces targeted for completion by 2028. That IBM arrangement also encompasses GPU resources delivered through a “GPU as a service” model, providing the computational horsepower needed for the bank’s AI initiatives. In May 2026, BNP Paribas extended its partnership with Mistral AI for three more years, focusing on custom generative AI solutions across multiple divisions of the bank.
