Bybit to offer European super-app with stocks, derivatives

Bybit is building something ambitious in Europe: a single platform where users can trade crypto, stocks, and derivatives without switching apps. The exchange, which secured MiCA authorization from Austria’s Financial Market Authority in May 2025, is now pursuing a MiFID II license that would unlock regulated futures and options across the European Economic Area. The regulatory puzzle, piece by piece Bybit’s European expansion has followed a deliberate, two-track regulatory strategy. The first piece fell into place on May 28, 2025, when Bybit EU GmbH received its Crypto-Asset Service Provider authorization under MiCA from Austria’s FMA. That approval gave the exchange a legal foundation to operate across the EEA, and by July 2025 the dedicated platform at bybit.eu was live. The current European offering includes spot trading, margin trading capped at 10x leverage, and the Bybit Card. The second piece is still in progress. In September 2025, Bybit X GmbH submitted an application for a MiFID II license, the regulatory framework that governs investment services and derivative products across the EU.
