Canada’s 6-0 World Cup victory over Qatar on June 18, 2026 saw midfielder Ismaël Koné sustain a broken tibia and fibula after a tackle by Qatar’s Assim Madibo in the 50th minute. Madibo received a straight red card following a VAR review.
