Chainlink launches CCIP Vault Adapters for cross-chain deposits

Chainlink wants DeFi vaults to stop choosing between staying simple and reaching more users. On October 8, 2026, it unveiled CCIP Vault Adapters, which let a vault take deposits from over 80 blockchains while its core operations stay on one chain. What the adapters actually do CCIP Vault Adapters are built to remove that step. Users on any of the more than 80 supported chains can make one-click deposits into a vault that runs on a primary chain. The vault itself does not need to be cloned across dozens of networks. Its key mechanics, the accounting and strategy logic, remain unified on what Chainlink calls the home chain. There is also a portability angle. Vault share tokens can be converted into Cross-Chain Tokens (CCTs), Chainlink’s standard for tokens that move across networks. Additional Chainlink services can also plug into the adapters to support more elaborate workflows.
