Coinbase opens full trading for DATA-USD and WHUF-USD pairs

Two more tickers are now fully open for business on Coinbase. The DATA-USD and WHUF-USD trading pairs now support all order types on Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Advanced. How the rollout worked Full trading for both pairs went live starting October 8, 2026, after the exchange’s usual staged onboarding. Each pair began in auction mode, which lasted at least 10 minutes. During an auction, buyers and sellers submit orders that are matched together at a single opening price. Next came limit-only mode. Traders could post limit orders, meaning they name the exact price they will accept. Market orders, which execute immediately at whatever price is available, stayed switched off. Only after that did Coinbase move the pairs to full trading with every order type enabled. Two tokens, two very different backstories DATA is not a new project so much as a new name. The token is a rebrand and migration of the former Story (IP) token. Trading in the old token was suspended on October 5, 2026. It was re-enabled around October 7-8 under the new DATA ticker. The swap ran at a 1:1 ratio. Holders of the old token received the same number of DATA tokens, and the exchange came at no cost to them. WHU...
