Coinbase Vice Chair declares end of crypto regulatory battles

Coinbase’s newly appointed Vice Chair wants everyone to know: the war is over. Now comes the hard part of actually building something with the peace. Ryan VanGrack, who took over as Coinbase’s first-ever Vice Chair and head of corporate affairs on July 9, 2026, has framed the company’s regulatory posture in strikingly different terms than his predecessor. Instead of courtroom battles and enforcement actions, VanGrack is talking about growth, innovation, and a crypto industry that no longer needs to fight for its right to exist.
