CZ donates BNB and 币安人生 tokens to Giggle Academy, plans to abandon wallet entirely

Changpeng Zhao is doing something unusual for a crypto billionaire: giving away his tokens and then walking away from the wallet altogether. CZ announced on August 16 that he will donate all BNB and 币安人生 (BinanceLife) tokens held in one of his public wallets to Giggle Academy, the free education nonprofit he launched in late 2024. After the transfer, he plans to cease all activity on the wallet, effectively converting it into a burn address. The move addresses two problems at once. It funds an education platform that has reached over one million students worldwide. And it neutralizes a wallet that had become a magnet for unsolicited meme-coin airdrops, the kind that generate breathless on-chain speculation every time someone notices a new token sitting in CZ’s address. The wallet problem The 币安人生 token, classified as a BEP-20 memecoin on the BNB Chain, currently carries a market capitalization of roughly $480 to $500 million.
