Dan Ndoye scores twice for Switzerland at World Cup, including against Argentina

Ndoye opened his World Cup account on July 3 against Algeria in the round of 32, finding the net in the 46th minute to seal a 2-0 win.

Switzerland then navigated a tense round-of-16 clash against Colombia, advancing via penalties. That match was played across July 7-8.

Against Argentina in the quarterfinals, Switzerland didn’t just compete. They dominated. The 3-0 scoreline told the full story: Ndoye scored again. For a nation that had waited 88 years to win a World Cup knockout match, stacking three in a row feels almost greedy.

Ndoye now has 36 caps and 9 international goals for Switzerland. He operates as a right-sided wide forward. At Nottingham Forest, he’s been developing the consistency that international tournaments reward.
