Eisenkot urges Zionist opposition to unite against Netanyahu coalition

2 hours ago 1

Gadi Eisenkot, former IDF chief and Yashar! Party leader, is urging the Zionist opposition to form a majority against Netanyahu. The “Netanyahu out by June 30” market sits at 6% YES.

Eisenkot’s call follows former PMs Bennett and Lapid announcing their unified “Together” party to consolidate the anti-Netanyahu bloc. The June 30 market holds at 6% YES, unchanged from a week ago. The April 30 odds are effectively dead at 0.2% YES, with only 6 days left to resolve.

The term structure shows a 5-point jump from April 30 to June 30, which suggests traders expect something could change in that window. With 67 days until June 30, opposition coordination efforts are the most obvious candidate. Volume is $1,762 in actual USDC traded, which is thin.

A YES share at 6% for the June 30 market pays 16.6x, but collecting requires believing opposition unity can break Netanyahu’s coalition. Recent polls show Netanyahu’s coalition at 49-52 seats. Eisenkot’s push for a “Zionist and statesmanlike” majority adds another voice to the anti-Netanyahu effort, but 49-52 seats is still a working government. The opposition’s math problem hasn’t changed.

Watch for coalition defections or shifts in support from Shas and United Torah Judaism. Those are the parties whose movement would actually matter for this market.
