Barcelona has reportedly reached an agreement to bring Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus to Catalonia for €10 million plus add-ons. If finalized, the deal would represent a steep discount on the €52 million Arsenal paid Manchester City for the Brazilian striker back in July 2022. A Lewandowski-shaped hole The move comes in the wake of Robert Lewandowski’s departure from Barcelona, leaving the club without a natural center forward at the top of their lineup. Jesus, now 29, has been identified as the replacement. The reported €10 million fee sits well below most recent valuations. Arsenal had been seeking somewhere between £18 million and £20 million, equivalent to roughly €21-23 million. Independent market estimates placed Jesus’s value at €16-17 million as of late August 2026. That gap between asking price and reported deal price is notable.
