Ferran Torres has officially traded the Camp Nou for the Parc des Princes. The 26-year-old Spanish forward completed his move from FC Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain for a reported fee of approximately €50 million, signing a five-year deal that runs through 2031. Torres will wear the No. 9 jersey in Paris, a fitting number for a player who just scored the winning goal in a World Cup final. The numbers behind the move The transfer fee, which various reports peg between €48.5 million and €50 million, represents a shrewd bit of business for Barcelona. The club originally paid Manchester City €55 million plus €10 million in potential add-ons to sign Torres back in January 2022. Recovering roughly €50 million for a player with just one year left on his contract is the kind of accounting that makes a sporting director sleep well at night.
