The service will come back live again, once the Pump.fun team completes its work on moderation infrastructure and is upgraded to handle higher standards of content management.
The pump.fun team admitted that the users using the live stream feature surged rapidly, with nearly 100× increment in the last 7 days.
To ensure better-moderated service & prohibit bad content, they also increased the number of human moderators.
Live streaming service & controversy
Just a couple of days ago many people reported that some Solana meme token issuers misused the live streaming feature to put emotional pressure on the crypto investors to increase investment in their corresponding token.
Some users threatened to commit self-harm, & violence if their tokens did not reach the market cap target.
Another person was shooting out of his window, for each significant pump in the trade price of his token.
Following such news, many serious crypto enthusiasts called the Pump.fun team to give attention to these issues and ensure a better ecosystem for this innovative space.
