Fireblocks appoints former SEC Acting Chairman Elad Roisman as Chief Regulatory Officer

Fireblocks just made one of the most consequential hires in crypto infrastructure this year. The enterprise digital asset platform has brought on Elad Roisman, a former SEC Commissioner and Acting Chairman, as its Chief Regulatory and Policy Officer and General Counsel, Regulatory. From the SEC to the other side of the table Roisman served as an SEC Commissioner from September 2018 through 2022, including a stint as Acting Chairman. During that time, he voted on more than 100 rulemakings and participated in over 1,000 enforcement actions. Before joining Fireblocks, Roisman co-led the Digital Assets Practice at Cravath, Swaine & Moore. His earlier career included roles at the Senate Banking Committee and NYSE Euronext.
