Fortinet just bought Virtue AI, a startup focused on securing the kinds of autonomous AI systems that enterprises are racing to deploy. The acquisition, announced on August 17, slots Virtue AI’s runtime protection and automated validation technology directly into Fortinet’s FortiAIGate platform. Financial terms weren’t disclosed, with Fortinet describing the deal as immaterial to its overall business.
