Gatik AI raises $200M to expand autonomous trucking operations

Gatik just locked down $200 million in Series D financing, its largest single fundraise to date. The California-based autonomous trucking company has now pulled in approximately $500 million since it emerged from stealth back in 2019. Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies co-led the round, with Millennium Management, ARK Invest, and Intact Private Capital also participating. The middle-mile bet Gatik has carved out a very specific niche in autonomous driving. Rather than chasing the long-haul trucking market or the last-mile delivery scramble, the company focuses on middle-mile freight. Think of it as the less glamorous but highly repeatable leg of the supply chain: moving goods from distribution centers to retail stores on routes under 400 miles.
