Global Unichip Corp, the Taiwanese ASIC design house that most people outside the semiconductor world have never heard of, just posted the kind of numbers that make even seasoned chip investors do a double take. July 2026 net sales hit NT$5.769 billion, a 158.4% increase compared to the same month last year and a 17.1% jump from June. The stock responded accordingly. GUC shares surged 9% on August 17 to reach NT$5,990, a fresh all-time high. The catalyst wasn’t just the revenue print. It was growing clarity around the company’s role as a design partner for Tesla’s AI5 chip, a piece of custom silicon destined for humanoid robots and vehicle inference systems. The numbers behind the breakout GUC’s July figure wasn’t an isolated spike. It was a new monthly revenue record, and it capped a first seven months of 2026 in which total sales reached NT$31.114 billion. That’s a 102.5% increase over the same stretch in 2025.
