Google is building Superprojects to unify Gemini workspaces

Google is reportedly developing a feature called “Superprojects” for its Gemini AI platform. It is designed to replace Gemini Notebook projects and stitch together files and chat sessions across Google’s product lineup. What the teardowns show The initiative, referred to internally as the “Robin Superproject,” surfaced through app analysis and teardowns in September 2026. Those digs into Gemini’s code revealed an upgraded “Projects” feature built around structured workspaces. Those workspaces are sorted by category. Examples include Business, Research, Finance, and Education, with 19 category icons identified in the teardowns. The bigger shift is what goes inside those folders. Superprojects would let users combine chats, emails, calendar events, and notes into a single focused workspace. September 2026 also brought documentation for Drive Projects. That feature lets users bundle Drive files with other Workspace content so Gemini can answer questions using the full set of material.
