Google’s AI Mode is no longer content just answering your travel questions. It wants to book the hotel room too. The company is conducting a limited rollout of agentic hotel booking features in the United States, allowing users to compare options, select preferences, and complete reservations entirely within the AI interface. Partners include Booking.com, Expedia, Marriott, and IHG, meaning the inventory behind this experiment is anything but thin. From itineraries to transactions This didn’t happen overnight. Google laid the groundwork back in November 2025 when it introduced Canvas, a feature that lets AI Mode generate customized travel itineraries.
