Copy Trading and Reverse Copy Trading Explained
The standard copy trading feature does what it says: your account replicates the positions of whichever trader you follow. If they go long on BTCUSD, you go long and vice versa. Once they close their position, your position also closes.
However, BitMEX offers a unique feature: Reverse Copy Trading. This lets you take the opposite side of any Copy Leader’s strategy. If a trader opens a long position, your account opens a short, and vice versa.
Reverse copy trading is particularly useful for betting against a Copy Leader’s move and that their trades will go against the trend. It’s enhanced personalisation and improved strategic management within your copy trading portfolio.
How Hyperliquid Copy Trading Works on BitMEX
Head to https://www.bitmex.com/app/copy-trading and click the Hyperliquid tab.
You will find a list of Hyperliquid’s top traders ranked by ROI. You can also customise your list to view top performing traders by PnL over 24 hours, 30 days, or 180 days.
Each Hyperliquid trader card shows the metrics that matter for you when selecting a leader to copy trade: ROI (%), Profit and Loss (PnL), maximum drawdown, win ratio, and assets under management (AUM). Risk indicators are shown on the top right corner of the trader card so you can filter by high, moderate, or low-risk strategies.
From there, choose your Hyperliquid trader. Click Copy or Reverse Copy to execute your trade.
