Hyperliquid’s native token listed for spot trading on Binance

Binance has listed Hyperliquid’s native token HYPE for spot trading on its global platform, marking a milestone that traders have been waiting on since the exchange first dipped its toes into the asset through perpetual futures earlier this year. The listing bridges what had been a notable gap in HYPE’s exchange availability. Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by volume, had offered leveraged perpetual contracts on HYPE since May 30, 2025, with up to 75x leverage. But spot trading, where users actually buy and hold the token rather than speculate on price via derivatives, remained conspicuously absent from the global platform. From airdrop darling to major exchange listing HYPE launched on November 29, 2024, with a maximum supply capped at 1 billion tokens. What made the launch unusual was the sheer generosity of its initial distribution: 31% of the total supply went directly to users via airdrop.
