Djed Spence is headed to Milan. Inter have wrapped up a deal worth up to £30M to prise the versatile English defender away from Tottenham Hotspur. The 26-year-old is expected to touch down in Italy on August 13 or 14, 2026 for medical examinations before formally completing the move to the reigning Serie A champions. For Tottenham, the sale represents a tidy profit on a player they signed from Middlesbrough for £19M back in July 2022. Inside the deal structure The base fee sits in the range of £25.6M to £30M, roughly €30M to €35M at current exchange rates. On top of that, performance-related add-ons could push the total package to the full £30M ceiling. Tottenham also negotiated a 10% sell-on clause, meaning they’ll get a cut if Inter eventually move Spence along for an even larger sum. From Tottenham’s perspective, the math works out clearly. They paid £19M, got first-team contribution including a Europa League winner’s medal, and now pocket at least £25.6M in guaranteed fees.
