Kalshi, the CFTC-registered prediction market, flagged 32 cases of suspected insider trading to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission during the three months ending in June. That’s roughly two or three referrals per week, a pace that suggests either a serious integrity problem or a platform trying very hard to show regulators it takes integrity seriously. Probably both. The referrals were part of a broader enforcement blitz. Kalshi launched more than 200 investigations during the first half of 2026 alone, scrutinizing trades that may have been informed by material non-public information. How Kalshi hunts for bad actors Kalshi deploys a combination of internal monitoring systems, third-party vendor tools, trading pattern analysis, and open-source intelligence checks to spot potential misconduct.
