Kazakhstan hosts Binance leadership to advance crypto adoption

Kazakhstan just went from drafting crypto blueprints to actually building the house. A meeting between Binance founder Changpeng Zhao and Zhaslan Madiyev, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, produced two signed memoranda covering stablecoin issuance and digital payment frameworks. The September 4 meeting at Astana’s Alem.ai International AI Center resulted in concrete commitments: plans to issue a stablecoin within Kazakhstan, the rollout of Binance Pay through a partnership with Alatau City Bank, and frameworks for digital payments and related judicial processes. From regulator to builder Madiyev previously managed Binance Kazakhstan before stepping into his current government role. That means the person now shaping national digital asset policy used to run the exchange’s local operations.
