Meta integrates Walmart, Gap, and Best Buy into Muse AI agent

Meta’s Muse AI agent can now shop at Walmart, Gap, and Best Buy on your behalf. The integration, announced by Meta executive Alexandr Wang, gives the AI assistant direct access to three of America’s largest retail chains, covering everything from groceries to electronics to apparel. What Muse actually does Muse launched on September 8, 2026, as Meta’s first standalone personal AI agent. The tool can send emails, book reservations, fill out forms, and make purchases, all operating within what Meta calls the Muse Secure VM, a sandboxed environment designed to keep user data and financial information protected. The agent runs on Muse Spark 1.3, a model featuring a one-million-token context window. For payments, Muse uses Stripe Link and generates single-use cards for each transaction. Meta has also partnered with Shopify and PayPal to broaden the payment infrastructure. The service is available to US adults 18 and older. A free tier exists, but the real functionality lives in the paid plans: $20 per month for Power and $100 per month for Maximum.
