MoonPay is adding another acquisition to its growing list. The Miami-based payments company plans to acquire North Capital, an SEC-registered firm, in an all-stock deal valued at $60 million. It is the latest in a string of purchases that signals MoonPay is serious about becoming the financial plumbing behind institutional crypto. The deal is structured entirely in stock, meaning no cash changes hands. That approach preserves MoonPay’s liquidity while letting North Capital’s shareholders bet on MoonPay’s long-term trajectory instead of cashing out.
