Mousesports signs former academy player PR to main roster in CS2 rebuild

Mousesports, the storied German esports organization better known as MOUZ, has officially signed 18-year-old Czech player Oldřich “PR” Nový to its main Counter-Strike 2 roster. The move, announced on July 14, marks a reunion: PR originally cut his teeth in MOUZ’s NXT academy program before spending time elsewhere.

PR first joined MOUZ’s academy system back in July 2023, when he was just 16. He spent roughly 18 months developing within the NXT program before departing for GamerLegion in January 2025. Now, after a year and a half competing under GamerLegion’s banner, he’s back in the MOUZ ecosystem, this time on the main stage.

The player has accumulated approximately $94,000 in career earnings across his various stints. Not exactly retirement money, but for an 18-year-old born in September 2007, it’s a solid foundation in a notoriously volatile profession.

This signing is the second time in 2026 alone that MOUZ has promoted a player from its NXT academy to the main roster. MOUZ framed the announcement as “running it back,” a nod to PR’s history with the organization.

What’s notable about MOUZ’s current approach is the absence of any crypto or digital asset component in this transaction. No fan token vote on the roster. No NFT announcement bundled with the signing. No blockchain sponsorship plastered across the jersey reveal. Just a straightforward competitive decision based on player performance.
