Multicoin Capital moves millions in HYPE to Coinbase Prime, raising sell pressure questions

Multicoin Capital deposited roughly 308,884 HYPE tokens, worth over $19.8 million, into Coinbase Prime across a seven-hour window. That follows a broader pattern of large-scale transfers stretching back weeks, and the market is doing exactly what you’d expect: asking whether one of HYPE’s biggest holders is quietly walking out the door. Context matters here. Multicoin accumulated more than $100 million in HYPE since February 2026, making it one of the firm’s largest liquid fund positions.
