Norway commits $9.2B in Ukraine aid for 2027, matching current year’s spending

Norway is keeping its foot on the gas with Ukraine support, announcing it will allocate 85 billion Norwegian kroner, roughly $9.2 billion, to Ukraine in 2027. The figure matches what the country committed for 2026, making it one of the most generous per-capita contributors to Ukraine’s defense and reconstruction efforts among Western nations. Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre made the announcement on August 23 during a visit to Kyiv alongside leaders from other Nordic and Baltic countries.
