Felix Kjellberg, the YouTuber the internet knows as PewDiePie, has released his own AI model. He calls it Ajax, and he says building it got him kicked off OpenAI not once, but twice. The model arrived around October 1-2, 2026. It is a small, uncensored assistant designed to live on your own computer instead of someone else’s server farm. What Ajax actually is Ajax is a 9-billion-parameter model. Kjellberg did not build it from scratch. Ajax is a fine-tuned version of Alibaba’s Qwen3.5-9B base model. The goal is practical. Ajax is meant to act as an autonomous agent and assistant inside Odysseus, a self-hosted workspace Kjellberg launched in May 2026. Its job list is refreshingly unglamorous: web searches, email management, calendar duties and to-do lists. All of it is supposed to run on consumer hardware.
