Poland investigates suspected Russian missile crash near Ukraine border, rattling European security landscape

An unidentified object slammed into an undeveloped area in Poland’s Lublin province on July 30, creating a 10-meter-wide crater roughly 2 kilometers from the nearest buildings. The crash occurred at approximately 3:40 a.m. local time, coinciding with a Russian missile barrage targeting Ukraine. No one was hurt, but residents reported hearing a loud explosion.
