Insurers have long rewarded homeowners for installing smoke detectors and deadbolts. Now a crypto security firm wants to know if the same logic applies to quantum-resistant cryptography. Project Eleven, a post-quantum security company, announced a partnership with Relm Insurance on October 20, 2026. The goal is to assess how quantum-resistant controls may influence the way digital asset insurance gets underwritten. The pitch is simple: an institution with stronger quantum defenses could, in theory, pay less for coverage. What the two firms are actually testing The work centers on Project Eleven’s Strongpoint custody platform. Relm will look at several areas that matter when an underwriter sizes up risk. Those include key exposure, signing systems, transaction approvals, migration readiness and third-party dependencies. Strongpoint is described as a modular platform that supports hybrid signing. That means it can sign transactions with both classical cryptography and post-quantum methods at the same time. The platform’s production deployment is anticipated in Q4 2026. So the underwriting evaluation is happening while the product itself is still approaching its full launch. Relm CEO ...
