Ripple launches institutional RLUSD minting platform with API access

Ripple has launched Ripple Mint, a platform that allows institutional customers to mint, redeem, bridge, and manage Ripple USD through a web interface or direct software integration. The platform adds APIs and webhook notifications, allowing exchanges, market makers, fintechs, and other institutions to automate RLUSD operations through their internal systems. Customers can initiate redemptions for fiat settlement, move RLUSD across supported blockchains, access account balances, track transaction status, and receive real time updates covering fiat deposits, mint processing, onchain settlement, and payouts. Consistent reference identifiers connect each stage of a transaction, giving institutions visibility across fiat and blockchain activity while reducing manual processes. RLUSD is issued in the US by Standard Custody & Trust Company, a trust company regulated by the New York Department of Financial Services. The stablecoin is backed one to one by cash and cash equivalents held in segregated reserve accounts.
