Robinhood Chain’s DEX volume drops 72% while transactions and TVL hit all-time highs

Robinhood Chain’s decentralized exchange volume has cratered from its peak, falling roughly 72% from approximately $878 million on July 12 to a range between $500 million and $700 million in daily activity by early August. Total value locked climbed to around $775 million. Stablecoin supply hit records near $575 million. Cumulative transactions blew past 100 million. The chain launched barely a month ago, on July 1, and it’s already showing the kind of divergence between volume and engagement that tells a more nuanced story than the top-line number suggests. The CASHCAT effect and what came after CASHCAT, the primary meme token driving early trading activity on Robinhood Chain, pushed DEX volume to its $878 million peak in mid-July. Daily active addresses surged to nearly 193,000 during that initial frenzy. The average trade size collapsed as speculative whale activity cooled off, but the number of transactions kept climbing.
