Buying a memecoin is now as easy as buying a latte. Robinhood Wallet and the social trading app Fomo have rolled out credit card purchasing for memecoins through Apple Pay and Google Pay, with no separate ID verification or KYC check required at the point of sale. The integration runs on Crossmint’s Token Checkout, which handles the payment rails and lets users fund on-chain purchases with a single tap. Transactions are processed on Robinhood Chain, the network that went live on July 1, and are classified under a merchant category code for “digital goods media.” How the purchase flow actually works The setup is deliberately frictionless. A user opens either Robinhood Wallet or the Fomo app, picks a token, and checks out using whatever card is linked to their Apple Pay or Google Pay.
