Samsung Wallet brings USDC to 82 million Galaxy devices with Sui

Samsung is adding USDC to Samsung Wallet. The initial rollout targets 82 million Galaxy devices in the US. The infrastructure partner is Sui, a blockchain provider. The partnership was detailed on October 8, 2026, and its central feature is gasless transfers. Users won’t pay network fees, and at the start they won’t need to touch the SUI token at all. From Unpacked stage to wallet app The groundwork was laid months earlier. At Galaxy Unpacked in London on July 22, 2026, Samsung announced native stablecoin support for Samsung Wallet, with Circle’s USDC as the headline asset. The features announced at Unpacked cover the basics: sending, receiving and topping up digital value. The Sui deal is what turns that July announcement into a working product. Sui supplies the rails that USDC moves on, and the gasless model removes one of crypto’s most persistent friction points. For the uninitiated, “gas” is the small fee a blockchain charges to process a transaction. It’s usually paid in the network’s own token.
