Securitize registers Securitize Capital as SEC-registered investment adviser

Securitize just leveled up its regulatory credentials. The tokenized asset platform announced that its subsidiary, Securitize Capital LLC, has officially registered as an investment adviser with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, with the registration taking effect on July 22, 2026. The move transitions Securitize Capital from what’s known as an “exempt reporting adviser” to a fully registered one under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. In English: the company went from operating under a lighter regulatory touch to voluntarily submitting itself to the full suite of SEC oversight, including public disclosure requirements, compliance obligations, recordkeeping mandates, and periodic examinations. Building a regulatory fortress The company, which trades on the NYSE under the ticker SECZ, now operates US affiliates that include a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, alternative trading system, transfer agent, and fund administration services provider. The new registration carries CRD number 315859 and SEC number 801-136838.
