Securitize secures multiple investments from Blockchain Capital after tokenization partnership proves the model works

Sometimes the best way to sell someone on your product is to let them use it first. Securitize, the tokenization platform that went public through a SPAC merger on July 1, 2026, counts Blockchain Capital among its most committed backers, and that relationship started because Blockchain Capital was one of Securitize’s earliest customers. Blockchain Capital’s affiliated funds rolled over approximately 9.83 million shares into a 6% stake of the newly public entity, according to an SEC Schedule 13D filing dated July 9, 2026. The company now trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker SECZ. From customer to investor Between 2017 and 2019, Blockchain Capital worked with Securitize to tokenize its Fund III, creating the BCAP token. That was one of the earliest attempts at building a tokenized venture fund. That conviction showed up in Securitize’s $48 million Series B funding round in June 2021, co-led by Morgan Stanley. Blockchain Capital participated in that round, putting real capital behind the platform it had already stress-tested with its own fund.
