Sui hits 40 million transactions per second in live Basecamp test

Sui just posted a throughput number that sounds more like a population count than a blockchain stat. During a live demonstration at the Basecamp conference in Singapore on October 7, 2026, the network processed 40,614,180 transactions per second. Independent auditor CertiK verified the figure in real time as it happened. The organizers had set a target of 20 million TPS. They roughly doubled it.
