SwissBorg completes Q3 burn of 300,000 BORG tokens

SwissBorg has destroyed another 300,000 BORG tokens. The burn, the platform’s third-quarter installment for 2026, was carried out on October 27 after a vote by members of its Guardians program. What happened with the Q3 burn The decision did not come from a boardroom. SwissBorg’s Guardians, a group of Premium users who lock up their BORG, voted on what to do with tokens the platform had bought back. Those buyback tokens usually go one of two ways. They are either burned permanently or handed out as rewards to community members. For Q3, the Guardians picked the furnace. A total of 300,000 BORG were removed from circulation for good. Burns in the first two quarters of 2026 added up to approximately 500,000 BORG combined. The bigger supply picture The quarterly burns are part of a long-running program. SwissBorg launched its burn strategy in April 2021, and the cumulative total has now climbed past 14.2 million BORG. That works out to about 1.42% of BORG’s maximum supply of 1 billion tokens.
