Tech giant Oracle integrates with Swift blockchain ledger to connect banks’ tokenized deposits

Oracle is integrating its financial-services technology with Swift’s blockchain ledger to help banks connect tokenized deposit systems across institutions and bring them into existing payment flows. The integration will allow financial institutions to use their own tokenized deposit infrastructure while supporting traditional and digital-asset payments through a unified operating model. Swift’s ledger will coordinate cross-bank payment activity, enabling participating institutions to use tokenized deposits maintained on their own bank-centric ledgers in interbank transactions. Oracle said the approach can help banks support real-time cross-border payments, programmable payment services and digital asset transactions while maintaining security, governance and regulatory oversight. Oracle Blockchain Platform and Oracle Digital Assets Data Nexus will provide a pre-integrated foundation for connecting to Swift’s ledger.
