On the prediction platform Polymarket, traders put 6.84 million dollars on whether the car would reach 60 miles per hour in under one second at its demo in McGregor, Texas. A memecoin called Flying Tesla Roadster climbed to a market value of 7.4 million dollars a few hours after the kickflip and now trades 95 percent lower. Tesla stock rose 4.4 percent in premarket trading and closed the day down 2.1 percent. The memes keep running.
