Tokenized equities just had their breakout month. Trading volume hit $18.2 billion in July, according to Binance Research, representing a 4.4x increase over June’s figures. To put that in perspective, a single month of trading outpaced the total volume from the previous six months combined. The year-to-date total for 2026 now sits at $34.3 billion, and more than half of that came from July alone. DEXs are eating CEXs’ lunch The breakdown of where that volume landed tells a story all by itself. Decentralized exchanges captured $12.8 billion of the $18.2 billion total.
