Tokenized stocks hit $3.96 billion in weekend DEX volume, up 106x since November

Tokenized stocks generated $3.96 billion in weekend trading volume on decentralized exchanges in September. That figure is 106 times higher than it was in November. Tokenized stocks are blockchain tokens designed to track the price of a traditional share, ones that can move through crypto infrastructure at any hour. Because DEXs never close, those tokens can change hands on a Sunday morning. Over the Labor Day weekend, tokenized stocks generated more than $1 billion in volume. That’s comparable to what the category does on a regular trading day. One September snapshot recorded roughly $2.95 billion in weekend volume inside a broader 30-day total of $15.75 billion. From rounding error to real market share Tokenized stocks went from around 0.1% of DEX spot volume at the end of 2025 to more than 4% in 2026. The active market capitalization for tokenized equities reached approximately $4 billion in September 2026. That’s a 314% increase year to date. Total value locked for tokenized equities rose from $21.6 million in January to $289 million by September.
